Hello!

Thank you for your interest in the Creative Circus!

If you would like to see recent graduate work, you may go to the “home page” and view their portfolios through the “Placement” heading on the menu bar at the top.

Below is also a standard letter and form about freelance and part-time work policy that the school sends out to those interested in hiring projects. Actual Job Positions available for graduates are handled through the Placement Dept. and are posted on the job list available to graduates and alumni who request it. If you are interested in having your position posted on our job list, please fill out the form below. While we may not always be able to fill every position requested through our office, we do greatly appreciate your interest in our school and our students. We try to run the school with the highest professional standards and integrity and therefore the recommendations below are for the benefit of both the student and the hiring professional.

Sincerely,

D.C. Washington

The CREATIVE CIRCUS Job Opportunity

Placement Office Policy for Outside Projects and Freelance Work

In response to the Creative Circus’ high volume of requests for ‘students’ to complete creative assignments at a lower cost, the Placement Office has developed the following guidelines:

1. The Creative Circus does not make an outside project a class assignment.

2. The school strongly suggests that the students get compensation for any work done outside the school. Our suggestion will be based on industry rates for the project or the level of experience, and current rates range between $15/hr and $50/hr for student freelance or internship work. The promise of having something ‘real’ produced can often be counter to our purpose: education and producing a high level of professional-quality, creative portfolios. The demands on the students here are so great that most will not have time to complete both outside work and class work to the same level of professionalism and one or the other will suffer. We suggest that they be very careful about what they commit to, both for themselves and the sake of the prospective employer or contractor.

3. Any outside individual or company may fill out the form below or email us with job description, contact information, and compensation about their project or part time position. We will make this information available to the students. The school does not promise, supervise, or guarantee response or participation.

4. Should a student accept a project or job, it is the responsibility of the client and student to work out the terms and conditions of the employment. It should be understood by the client that they are dealing with students – NOT professionals – and that the student’s priority is school. The school does not promise or guarantee the success of the relationship or the project.
